This Paleo Pecan Tart is a special treat to take to your next get together. Gluten free and delicious, it's nutty texture and sweet flavor is rich and satisfying. Inspired from the book "Primal Cravings".
1 8-in pie
3/4 cup date syrup
2 eggs
2 TB butter, melted
1/2 tsp salt
For crust: 1 1/2 cups pecan flour
2 eggs
2 TB date syrup
1/2 tsp salt
Mix together crust ingredients until well combined. Gently press into an 8 inch pie dish and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. While the crust is baking, combine butter, date syrup, eggs and salt. Pour the mixture into the cooled tart or pie crust. Scatter pecans on top. Bake at 350 for approx. 20 minutes or until filling is set.
