Barbecue pizza is the perfect dinner for any summer day. It may seem like a lot of hard work, but once you bite into that juicy slice of pineapple, cheese, and pepperoni, all negative thoughts immediately vanish into thin air. I have never regretted making pizza for dinner, and neither will you.

Directions
Dough
Add oil, water, and yeast to a bowl, and allow to sit for 5–10 minutes, or until frothy and bubbly.
Add the rest of your dough ingredients and mix well.
Knead the dough on a floured surface with your hands (be sure to oil or flour your hands as well to prevent the stickiness from sticking!). This will help all the ingredients to be evenly distributed throughout it.
Roll out flat in a parchment-lined 16 x 10 cookie pan with a rolling pin. (The pan doesn’t have to be these exact dimensions; anything approximate to that size will work fine, and you can always use multiple smaller pans as well if that works better for you!)
Sauce
- Sauté shallots, red pepper flakes and pepper in olive oil for 2 minutes.
Add date syrup and water, then slowly reduce over medium heat.
- Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste. When it reaches a "sauce" consistency, it's ready to spread on your favorite crust!
Finishing up
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Spread your pizza sauce over your pizza, then add your toppings.
Bake for 15–20 minutes at 350ºF or until bottom is golden brown.
Enjoy!
