Is there any added cane sugar or sugar alcohols?

No. There is no cane sugar, 0 added sugars, and zero sugar alcohols (no erythritol, xylitol, or maltitol). All 5g of total sugar per serving is naturally occurring from 100% whole organic dates.

Do chocolate chips contain soy lecithin or any emulsifiers?

No. There is no soy lecithin, sunflower lecithin, or PGPR in our recipe. The smooth, velvety texture is achieved purely through traditional conching and fine milling (25–30 microns).

Is the cocoa in our chocolate chips Dutched (alkalized?)

No. The cacao is 100% natural and non-alkalized, sourced from Colombian Fino de Aroma beans to preserve its authentic flavor and natural polyphenols.

Is the cocoa butter deodorized or unrefined/natural?

The organic cocoa butter in our chocolate chips is natural and unrefined (non-deodorized). It is pure, expeller-pressed from organic cacao beans without undergoing steam deodorization or chemical refining. This preserves the rich, natural chocolate aroma and complex flavor notes of the Colombian cacao bean.

Can I bake and melt these like regular chocolate chips?

Yes! With a 33%–36% total fat content and standard 1K count sizing (~0.5g per chip), they perform like classic semi-sweet dark chocolate chips in cookies, brownies, pancakes, and melting/dipping applications.

How should chocolate chips be stored?

Store in a cool, dry place between 64.4°F–68°F (18°C–20°C) with relative humidity under 65%, away from direct heat, sunlight, and strong odors. Shelf life is 18 months from manufacture date.

Do your products contain any of the common allergens?

We do not process wheat or any other forms of gluten, dairy, peanuts or shellfish in our main processing kitchen. We do not process tree nuts in our main processing kitchen WITH EXCEPTION of coconut oil and coconut cream. Our seasonal fruitcake does contain pecans and is processed in a separate kitchen from the rest of our products. Our suppliers conform to an allergen free facility or implement very rigorous standards in manufacturing that prevent cross-contamination of allergens.

Are your products gluten free?

YES! All of our products are completely gluten free!

Are your products vegan?

All of our products are vegan, with the exception of our seasonal fruitcake which does contain eggs.

Does your chocolate contain heavy metals?

We take the presence of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium very seriously, and it was an important consideration for us from the very beginning of developing this chocolate.

We work closely with our chocolate supplier to source cacao from farms with a history of lower naturally occurring levels of these heavy metals. The cacao is tested at the source, and we also conduct independent third-party testing when it arrives to us.

Our results below have come back well below established safety limits, and we believe in being transparent about the testing behind our products.
