Likened to BBQ, this pizza sauce has a subtle sweetness with a tangy and soft spice that is really not comparable to anything you've had.
Start with a nice crust and finish with goat cheese and fresh vegetables or whole milk mozzarella and a nice salami.
2 Shallots, finely minced
Splash of olive oil
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Salt & fresh ground pepper
1/3 cup Date Lady Pure Date Syrup
1/3 cup water
1. Sauté shallots, red pepper flakes and pepper in olive oil for 2 minutes.
2. Add Date Lady Pure Date Syrup and water, then slowly reduce over medium heat.
3. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste. When it reaches a "sauce" consistency, it's ready to spread on your favorite crust!
This is especially lovely under whole cheeses and salami, or savory vegetables to contrast the gentle sweetness of the sauce.
